Logs are a type of wood fuel most of us are familiar with. Many of us have been in a house and experienced the special atmosphere created by a log fire burning in the grate.

Although based on the same basic fires, there are now modern systems where boilers can run on logs and some are even self-loading.  These boilers can heat entire houses and are self-regulating the same as a gas boiler.
